Old Carrara Marble Floor | Reclaimed Tiles
Information

Old Carrara Marble Floor — Reclaimed Carrara Marble Tiles

Reclaimed from a late‑19th‑century property in Egypt, this old Carrara marble floor brings the quiet elegance of Tuscan stone into contemporary interiors. Each tile shows a refined white ground with subtle grey veining, characteristic of Carrara, and a naturally developed patina. The edges remain original and hand‑dressed (not sawn), preserving the floor’s authentic character and joint shadow. Professionally cleaned of historic lime residues and curated as a single batch, approximately 80 m² (~861 ft²) are currently available for premium residential or boutique hospitality projects.

FAQ

Can I use these antique Carrara tiles in a kitchen or bathroom?
Yes—indoors they perform very well. In wet zones, specify an appropriate sealer, ensure good ventilation, and consider a mat or rug in regularly splashed areas. Not suitable for fully exposed outdoor wet areas.
How consistent are thickness and colour across the batch?
Thickness ranges from approx. 2 to 2.5 cm, typical for reclaimed marble. The batch is curated for harmony, but natural shade and edge variations are inherent and should be balanced during dry‑lay.
